What We Are
We like to think we’re a combination of all the good things in life – coffee, craftsmanship and community. We’re not only here to help with your morning caffeine fix, our mission is to create great coffee in order to support young people taking a step up into employment. We think the best way to do that is to build a community that invests in each other, that includes you!
So whether you’re after a place to work or a caffeine perk, our door is always open.
What’s With The Name?
He’s more than our little bearded chap, he’s our Lumberjack! Our name is an ode to the timber used by our partners at London Reclaimed who make all of our beautiful furniture. ‘We Are Lumberjack’ our official trading name is also because we believe we are all in this together, supporting each other, one lumberjack to another.
— COFFEE —
Our coffee comes from the Assembly Coffee, based in Brixton and provides some of the finest, freshly roasted coffee in the UK. Their speciality beans are sourced from all over the world. Like us there’s more to them than meets the eye because they are also a speciality coffee roastery, set up exclusively to serve their local community with beans that are bought directly and with integrity with quality as their priority. We think they’re great!
— CRAFTSMANSHIP —
We’re not just about the wood! We love the old and traditional crafts, and believe in investing in local and small businesses. So, almost everything you’ll find in store, from the coffee to the furniture, are sourced as locally and homemade as possible. Check out our partners section to see why we’re so excited about them…
— COMMUNITY —
We are driven by a passion to train, equip and support young people aged 16-25 to succeed in work and carve out a path to a successful future. Lumberjack is a Community Interest Company which reinvests 100% of its profits back into doing just this. We are part of the London Reclaimed family; acting as a trading arm of the wider London Reclaimed
employment charity (charity number 1148279). Every penny you spend here goes towards this end, so thanks for being part of the team.
